The materials

Chosen for how they feel at twelve degrees

We keep the range small and the fabrics honest. Natural fibres where warmth and breathability matter, careful down and synthetics where weather does.

  • Wool

Wool and wool blends hold warmth even when damp, and breathe in a heated room. Our coats, knits and shawls start here.

    The wrap coat
  • Merino

Fine merino is soft on skin, odour-resistant and light. We use it closest to the body, in roll-necks and base layers.

    The roll-neck
  • Down

Duck and goose down give the most warmth for the least weight. Rated by fill power, kept dry with a water-repellent shell.

Layering system

Build your three layers

Three thin layers beat one heavy coat: base wicks, mid insulates, outer blocks the wind. Choose one of each and add the whole system in one tap.

Base layer Next to skin. Moves sweat, holds heat.
Mid layer Insulation. Knit, fleece or hoodie.
Outer layer Blocks wind and wet.
